Get to know your East Side Library

At the beginning of each month, the Spokane Public Library newsletter is highlighting a different branch. This month’s focus is East Side.

East Side in partnership with East Central

Taiko Drums ES 1Did you know that the East Side Library partners with its neighbors, the East Central Community Center?

The East Central Community Center gives East Side Library access to their gym for Summer Reading events, such as the Spokane Taiko drummers earlier this summer. The Community Center also provides an after-school program and daycare during the school year and those students will often come to the library for after-school events!

Thank you East Central Community Center for the continued support of the East Side Library!

Say hello to Heather

Heather-ClarkeHi! I’m Heather Clarke, a Library Clerical Assistant at East Side Library.

I’m primarily involved with circulation and customer service, but am fortunate to get to do a little reference, display, and computer assistance as well.

When I’m not at the library, I can usually be found watching classic movies on TCM, cooking, or taking pictures on nature walks.

Get to know Heather and other staff when you visit the East Side Library!
