As a mother of seven biological and two step children, much of Schmauder’s life was dedicated to the raising of children and putting painting on the back burner to accomplish this goal.
In 1988, Schmauder began painting with watercolors and fell in love with the unpredictable nature and vibrancy of the paints. She has added acrylics to her pallet and is enjoying painting with them as well.
Schmauder has paintings in collections nationwide and has won several awards. She is thankful for the talent God has given her and will continue to paint until He calls her home. If her paintings bring joy to others, then she knows she has accomplished her goal.
