Your Library, A Great Resource for Students

img_0449School is underway and the assignments are already piling up. The Spokane Public Library card is your resource for both students and parents to help you navigate through the school year. From endless materials to free online databases, your Spokane Public Library card will have you covered for the entire school year and beyond.

Databases for kids include SIRS Discoverer for current event articles on biographies to animal facts, CultureGrams for cultural and geographic fact sheets, the Learning Express Library for online test preparation and tutorials, as well as many more.

Parents, we all want to see our students succeed. Sign you and your student up for a library card, allowing you both access to our databases.

Plus, just because school’s in session doesn’t mean that you have to quit reading for fun. On your way to school, at lunch, before bed, there’s plenty of times to sneak in a chapter here or there. From chapter books to comics to eBooks, the library has all your favorite stories right at your fingertips.

A new space is coming to the Downtown Library

img_4103There is a new co-working space coming to the third floor of the Downtown Library and we’re calling it LevelUp! Small businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits will all benefit from the exciting new things coming.

Check it out once it opens on Monday, October 24.
