Spokane Citizen Hall of Fame 2016 is here

Nominate your favorite Spokane citizen today!

The public nomination process for the Second Annual Citizen Hall of Fame is open until February 4.

The guidelines are simple:

The individual has made a significant contribution to the betterment of Spokane.

Citizens will be honored for their achievements in the following categories:

  • Arts and Letters: for activities that enhance and support the artistic/cultural and literary life and well-being of the community
  • Economic Development and Business: for entrepreneurial activity or significant contributions toward the economic betterment of Spokane
  • Education: for enriching and inspiring lifelong learning in our community
  • Innovation and Leadership: for activities that cultivate strong innovation and leadership city-wide
  • Public Service and Philanthropy: for exemplary voluntary and public service activities that benefit the community
  • Science and Medicine: for individuals who have made significant contributions in the area of science or medicine

And then mark your calendar: Attend the Awards Breakfast on April 14th

The Citizen Hall of Fame is a partnership between the Spokane Public Library Foundation, the City of Spokane, and the Spokane Public Library. The funds raised from this event will be used toward growing the library’s business and entrepreneurial services to created adaptable, flexible spaces and tools for citizens to come together to collaborate with one another and learn.
