Fall at the Library
September feels like the beginning of a new season. We’re excited by all the activities lined up this month – in the libraries and out in the community!
- The 2nd Annual Spokane Trivia Championship is coming right up on September 24. Sign up your team or get tickets to cheer on competitors.
- The Library will be represented at three separate community events on Saturday, September 19: The Lower South Hill Block Party, The Sustainable Living Fair and The Spokane Hispanic Heritage Festival: Fiesta Spokane. Stop by and say hello.
- The Friends of the Library are getting ready for their Fall Book Sale. You can get ready by saving the dates October 21-24 for some of the best deals in town and a great way to support the library.
- Cheryl Strayed will be in town at the YWCA’s Women of Achievement fundraiser on October 1!
- Spokane is Reading will be hosting award-winning author Emily St. John Mandel and her book, Station Eleven on October 29. This is a joint event with Spokane Public Library, Spokane County Library District and Auntie’s Bookstore.
That’s just a taste of what’s going on. What’s happening at your house? Fall yard clean-up? Last-minute school supply shopping? Fruit fly explosions? Remember our staff can research questions for you so you can spend time on the many things that fill up fall!
