Eva is a mother, spouse, library worker, artist, reader, writer and a person who likes to breathe outside air. She grew up in New York and settled in Spokane in December, 2002 after crisscrossing the United States several times.

During the work day Eva can be found at the Downtown Spokane Public Library where she arranges for all the art exhibits there as well as teach some art workshops and other duties as assigned.

“I have always been drawn to color and line and I find myself returning to those themes in my artwork whether I am working in colored pencils, pens, collage or fabric. I work mostly abstractly because it allows my mind to wander and I can meditate while working on my art. Art is very much an escape for me and since I am a very busy person I have to find small nooks of time to fit my art into. The style of my art is reflected in that because I can do little bits and return to it easily again and again without too much preparation or difficulty.”

This month, in addition to her work at the library, Eva has two pieces in the annual Terrain art show and will be showing in a three-person exhibition at Spokane Falls Community College starting October 25.
