“I truly love to paint. Always have. My parents were both artists, and growing up in their house was like living in an art studio. Coloring books were not present. And for years, no TV.”

Federspiel spent 28 years painting ads and pictures on windows, walls, signs, and even a billboard on the highway. She retired when her first husband died, and learned to paint with watercolor.

“It’s what I do now, and I thank the Lord for blessing me with this life.”

Bari Federspiel is also showing at the East Side branch this month.
